Shooting practice location change

Shooting practice has been changed from Airport Park to John Adams Middle School for July. Training time and day will remain the same, which is Fridays, 5-7pm. McKinley Tennyson and Carlos Benegas will be the instructors.

PCSC Extended Tryouts 2010

We have been informed that because of AYSO and other commitments many families had schedule conflicts that prevented them from attending PCSC tryouts in early February. PCSC would like to invite boys and girls, ages U9 through U18, to attend our extended open tryouts starting this week through July 30th. PCSC B98 Defends Copa Real Nike Invitational Championship

For the second year in a row the PCSC B98 team won the Copa Real Nike Invitational Championship in the U11 Top Flight. This was the team’s second consecutive tournament championship after winning the PSA Winter Cup the weekend of December 19 – 20, 2009. The team defeated the Eagles of the Central Coast League in a rain socked final that went through two five minute overtimes and ended in a PK victory for the boys. While this was a complete team effort there were some standout performances; Striker Reese Andrade scored five of the teams six goals and GK Daniel Aguilar allowed only one tournament goal, while also savings two PK’s during the finals.

PCSC Boys B96 win Orange County Tournament of Champions

PCSC Boys B96 Boys won the Orange County Tournament of Champions hosted by the FC Blades in Irvine.

The PCSC B96 team accomplished their win with 3 shut outs and a final tie game ending in an over time win. The team held a strong defense including Baltazar Ayala, Andrew Cerda, Geovany Siliezar, Lucas Kirby, Erik Pfahler and Brian Guzman. Goalie, Collin Valdivia, was a great asset to the 3 shut outs providing a great defense of the goal during the entire tournament. The final championship game went into overtime consisting of 2 seven minute halves. PCSC pulled it out after several missed shots on goal, finally scoring a goal to win the tournament. Brandon Torres, Irvin Torres, Eric Vieyra and Tyler Goodman scored for PCSC during the tournament. The PCSC U13 roster for this tournament included Baltazar Ayala, Jack Bloom, Andrew Cerda, David Deutschman, Eric Hernandez, Tyler Goodman, Nico Greenlee (absent), Brian Guzman, Bennett Hanneman, Lucas Kirby (absent), Mike Medina, Christian Morales, Erik Pfahler, Julian Sears (absent), Geovany Siliezar, Brandon Torres, Irvin Torres, Collin Valdivia.

PCSC Winter Clinics

Pacific Coast Soccer Soccer Club will be conducting clinics during the holidays. This a great opportunity for non-club members to join in the excitement. We will be conducting a three-day session. We have carefully structured this session for three days of learning. Regardless of your child’s experience level, our coaches will evaluate the skill level and conduct appropriate drills. Parents will get a written evaluation on each child in terms of level of soccer skills.

Coaches: John Collazos & Joaquin Ramirez are both licensed coaches, and are currently on the coaching staff at Pacific Coast Soccer Club.

Details of the camp are as follow:

Date & times: December 21-23, 2009 9AM-2PM (early drop-off or late pick-up available for an extra fee)

Location: Stewart Park, 1838 Stewart St., Santa Monica 90404

Ages & Gender: Our camp will be open to boys & girl’s ages 7-15 yrs. older players may qualify to assist coaches.

Skill levels: We welcome all skill levels. Beginners will be getting an introductory to club soccer. Advanced players will be working on strength, fitness, and high-level skills. For more details on the structure of this program, please contact John directly at 310-415-9777

What to bring: Soccer attire. Cleats, shin guards, lunch & water.

We will provide: Each participant will be given a soccer ball & camp T-shirt.

Cost: $225.00 per camper. $50 discount per additional sibling.
