BIO – Kevin Weinress played under U21 US National Team and La Jolla Nomads Director of Coaching Derek Armstrong. After his playing days, Armstrong recruited Weinress to join his coaching staff at UC San Diego. Coach Weinress worked as an Assistant Coach at UC San Diego from 1999-2002 where he helped guide the Tritons to two CCAA South Championships. In addition, he recruited several All-Far West Region players and four NSCAA All-Americans. While at UC San Diego, Weinress also worked as a Staff Coach with the La Jolla Nomads where he won several National Cup and Regional Championships. In 2001, Weinress was part of a La Jolla Nomads Coaching Staff that traveled to England to play youth clubs such as Manchester United FC, Liverpool FC and Blackburn Rovers SC. 

In 2003-06, Weinress worked as an Assistant Coach at CSU Dominguez Hills where he help guide the Toros to a 2005 NCAA West Regional Championship. While working at CSUDH, Weinress recruited several All-Far West Region players as well as three NSCAA All-Americans.

Winner of the 1999 CYSA-South Humanitarian Award, Weinress was also the Boys’ District IV Olympic Development Program Head Coach from 1998-99. In 2004 while on Staff with the California South Olympic Development Program, Weinress won the U16 ODP National Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada by defeating Wisconsin ODP in the National Final. In his career as a coach, Weinress has worked with and developed several professional as well as US National Team players.

Kevin holds a USSF B License and a Masters Degree in Psychology. He is married to Jennifer Weinress and lives in West Los Angeles.
