Villareal shows more promise that McBean. McBean is NOT good. I’ve seen him in a few games that LA has played in CCL and he reminds me of Brek Shea. Terrible player yet gets hyped up by certain people in the media.

Poor McBean. I don’t think he’s terrible. I think the pressure just got to him. :/

Didyou watch Demba Ba play against West Ham recently? McBean is usually a much better finisher, and so is Ba. A single bad game is not enough to call a player shit. Especially when both players did a very good job getting into good positions. Torres is another story…

Who scored against Chivas USA? Donovan?! Keane?! I think was McBean.

See video v=6eKfk1KvY6s Unfortunately I can’t find a video that shows the restart, but I assume the restart was an indirect free kick for LA. That’s because the initial foul was on the SJ player (knocking the ball from the goalkeeper’s hands). Thus the elbow came while the ball was not in play, meaning it was not a foul (misconduct only), therefore the restart cannot be a penalty kick.

whoaa… that’s hell of explanations there dude. i just want to give you simple example. Josh Saunders red card for elbow, LA at SJ 2011. there’s no penalty there.

hey, hey… my last name is McBean as well, and i’m sure he’ll get better later on in his career. i’ll be seeing him as well though 😛

There’s no “loophole” at all. If two opponents commit violence conduct “simultaneously”, the restart is a dropped ball. If the attacker goes first, the restart is a direct free kick to the defense from the spot of the foul. If the defender is first, the restart is a penalty kick or direct free kick to the attacking team, depending on the location of the foul. The only “hole” here is in your understanding of the Laws of the Game.

so what if, two players shove/fight each other in front of posts and both got red card?? who is gonna get penalty?? that’s a law’s loophole there. i mean, the incident took place far from the ball position, the ball didn’t even tend to be crossed at that time.

Incorrect. A penalty kick results when (1) a direct free kick offense (2) is committed against an opponent (3) inside the penalty area (4) while the ball is in play. Those criteria were met.

i think, the foul was off-play. so the ref can give card punishment without penalty kick.

err… what? you do realize that makes no fucking sense right? a red is a foul. it was in the box. a red in the box is a penalty, there’s no room for interpretation.

must you roll over 10 times? really? he hit you, the official saw it, no need man

Holy crap was the reffing one sided. There was so much diving and faking, that was ridiculous.

Drew Moor feels the same way the fans do . . . I know we’re “rebuilding”, but only the Rapids think you have to rebuild a championship squad.

If it was a red it had to be a penalty.
Geoff Pecar
Jeez mcbean…just wow

shouldn’t been penalty. red but not penalty

If McBean improves his finishing he could be national team quality. He’s a classic striker, great positioning!

I don”t care what you’ve seen in other countries, we are talking about MLS and United States soccer.
The guy isn’t shit, he is as good as most youth academy products in Europe except he graduated to a average team who will take too long to class him up or not be able to do it at all and waste his potential.
The kid has better positioning than most players in their 30s, he has always had a knack for being in the right place. MOST players do not start in their teens, so back the fuck off.
